[FBIS Translated Text] The first mine-sweeping armoured vehicle [tamamzerehi-ye minkub] named Taftan has been manufactured and entered mass production in our country thanks to the efforts of our military experts. The vehicle, with the strength to endure explosions of up 10 kg, can clear mines at the rate of 3,000 to 6,000 sq.m. per hour. The vehicle's cabin has been constructed in such a way to resist successive strikes and intense sound waves as well as infiltration of pollution caused by explosives. [video shows vehicle]
